On January 5, 2015, Bryce Astle and Ronnie Berlack skied down a mountain of powder snow with a group of friends. It would be their last run. If only Bryce and Ronnie had a few pieces of information, they would not have died. Since then, BRASS Avalanche has helped an entire generation of skiers and riders learn about the dangers of avalanches. BRASS Avalanche has reached over a million skiers and riders and has engaged them in education to prevent that from happening again.
